Social Networking is controversial. I think there is a great draw to waste time with the assorted social networking sites. The ones I've chosen to take part in are pretty down-to-earth, I think. I can't deal with MySpace due to the tendency for people to put music on their page.
Facebook has a nice, mellow layout. It never goes off the screen ala MySpace, and there isn't much spam. If it is, it gets yanked. Quick.
LinkedIn is career oriented. I like that. People are putting their best, most professional foot forward. I like being able to watch my network grow and consider all of the people I could be introduced to and how that could help me make jumps in my career(s). |

Digg.com
An up-and-coming favorite of mine. A lot of the same articles as Reddit, but the style is easier to navigate by category for me. |

One of my favorite sites on the internet. I check it a few times a day. When my cursor is in the address bar it is my first impulse to type. |
